Projects

The family contributes to nation-building by instilling values, education, citizenship, social stability, and economic participation in members. Families play a foundational role in nation-building by instilling moral values and ethical principles in their members, fostering a sense of responsibility and civic duty. These are the reasons why every human should pay serious attention to building the family, ensuring peace and harmony among the members. The social support one receives from the loved ones can contribute to feelings of self-worth. Additionally, fostering an environment of encouragement, optimism, and safety may enhance self-esteem and assist in shaping views of self and compassion toward others. “Exemplary Family – Progressive Society” is the objective of our Organization to make sure every citizen is made aware and guided in the right direction for the self-contribution towards the development of our country. In line with the objectives initially our initiative and the focus will be on the following projects;

  • Pre-marriage Counselling - Premarital counseling can be extremely beneficial for couples who are considering getting married. This type of counseling helps them to identify and address potential issues before they get married, further it leads to better communication and build a stronger foundation for their marriage. In recent years we have witnessed a staggering increase in the number of divorce cases across the Island. This is a not a concern to one particular ethnicity or a community, in fact it is turning out to be a national issue with greater repercussions. Some of the main reasons leading into this situation is Drug addiction, forced marriages, foreign employment of the spouse (leading into illicit relationship), Unawareness of a marital union, lack of understanding between the couple etc… surprisingly we are placed on top of the global list with a minimum number of divorces cases among all the other countries. That is on average around 9 cases per day. As a percentage (%) it is less than 1.5 of the total number of marriages taking place per annum. However, the most alarming factor is the number of divorce cases filed on a single day. It is in the range of 300-400 !!! yes this is the number. The reason why we see two unusual numerical values is due to a number of issues delaying the process of separation or the divorces. That being the case we cannot move forward in this manner as things could go beyond proportions where mitigating or curtailing becomes a humongous task. Matrimonial union is a fresh hope to a new life to begin between two strangers, hence an ideal time to foster new and meaningful ideas to succeed in marriage and life. It paves the way not only for a happy marriage but also to produce and contribute to the national interest via a meaningful prodigy.

  • Elderly Care – Elders are a part of a happy family, in fact they are the foundation to building a happy family. Ignoring and caring less for those seniors could well lead into many unforeseen issues in leading and running a family. Very often their care and advice provided with sincerity enables the families to protect themselves from a possible disaster beforehand. Parents would always want and wish only the best for their children. Our mission here is to bring that awareness one the current generation to strengthen that bond between parents and the children. We believe this exercise could well bring about a much needed awareness among the youth to mitigate the no.of elders being sent to Elderly Homes.

  • Orphan Care – A much broader area, however our focus is to mitigate or possibly eliminate the children being born through illicit relationship before marriage which often leads to abandoning the child. Due to social and cultural pressure what the couple face they are compelled to act in this manner. The repercussions of a child being raised under these circumstances needs to be made aware among the youth. The damage to the individual as well as the society emerging through these children is far more detrimental to the entire humanity. Awareness programs is one important exercise to mitigate this situation, along with that experts in the area of this study will pay visits to the orphanages to see what best could be done for the ones already abandoned at the centre.
